Klamath Independent Film Festival is the premier Oregon-centric film festival.
About
The annual Klamath Independent Film Festival is held every mid-September in Klamath Falls, Oregon at the historic Ross Ragland Theater.
The annual festival, coordinated by Klamath Film (a 501c3 nonprofit), features made-in-Oregon short and feature-length films of all genres, presented in a hybrid in-person and online format across three days welcoming filmmakers, industry experts and film fans from across the Western U.S.A.

With nearly $2,000 in prizes, awards are as follows:

- Jury Best K-12 Student Short $100 Amazon card
Northern films: shot predominately in, or by residents of the remainder of the State of Oregon:

- Jury Best K-12 Student Short $100 Amazon card
Rules
1) The film must have been completed no later than Jan. 1, 2023. If the film was shot before then but editing was not completed until 2022 or 2023 - that is acceptable.
2) The film must have been predominantly shot in Oregon, or in the bordering Northern California counties of Del Norte, Modoc and Siskiyou. alternately, the film is also acceptable if the filmmaker resides in Oregon.
3) Films under 40-minutes in length qualify as "shorts", 40 minutes or longer should be submitted as a "feature film."
Categories are divided geographically in Oregon between Northern Shorts/Features and Southern Shorts/Features. This should be based on where the film was made in Oregon rather than residence of the filmmaker.

Films created by students in Oregon between kindergarten through high school that are five minutes in length or shorter are eligible for the K-12 Student category of KIFF.
