International Documentary Film Festival in Vancouver.


The DOXA Documentary Film Festival is the only festival in Vancouver, Canada dedicated to the art of documentary. Each spring we draw filmmakers and audiences together in one of the world's most beautiful cities for outstanding films and conversation. DOXA – a curated and juried festival comprised of public screenings, workshops, panel discussions and public forums.


  • Feature Documentary, 
  • Short Documentary, 
  • Colin Low Award. Cash Award Value: 1,000 Canadian Dollar,
  • The Nigel Moore Award for Youth Programming. Cash Award Value: 1,000 Canadian Dollar.


  • Projects screened or broadcast in Vancouver prior to the festival are ineligible.
  • Rough cuts are eligible ONLY IF final cuts will be available by February 16, 2021.
  • Fill out entry form (on-line via official site or via Withoutabox system);
  • Pay entry fees;
  • Send DVD with submitted film by mail or download it via Filmfreeway system.
