Durban International Film Festival

About

DIFF, the largest film festival in Southern Africa, features over 250 screenings of cutting-edge cinema from around the world with a special focus on films from South Africa and Africa. The festival hosts a film competition component and also presents screenings in township areas where cinemas are non-existent.

• Competition screenings,
• Seminar and workshop programme: Talents Durban programme и Durban FilmMart.
• Special screenings. Specific streams of programming for 2016 will include a focus on the important issue of HIV and Aids within film.

Rules

• Films completed after 2023.
• Submissions will be accepted via an ONLINE SCREENER. All submissions must be entered via Filmfreewatat vp.eventival.eu/cca/diff2016.
• This year’s festival will feature a focus on the important issue of HIV and Aids within film; DIFF invites filmmakers with films on this subject to submit for consideration in this category.
• Then choose the applicable submission type ONLINE SCREENER or DVD SCREENER from the available tabs.
• We do accept unfinished films, as long as they are submitted before the deadline.
