Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival is an International film festival. Our mission is two-fold: to bring the best Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, Action, Thriller, Animation, Cult and Fan Films from around the world to Buffalo, New York, and to shine a spotlight on quality films produced by local talent. Our goal is to be a filmmaker friendly festival, to show our city in its best light, and to foster rising talent.

Our Original Screenplay Competition is for Feature Length (85 - 130 pages) only. We are looking for Screenplays in the following genres: Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, Action, Thriller and Cult/Bizarro. For our purposes, Action includes weterns, war, martial arts and crime drama, and Thriller includes Mystery.

A Micro-short is a film running between 1 an 6 minutes. Micro-shorts must be in at least one of the following genres: Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, Action, Thriller, Animation, Cult and Fan Film. All International Micro-shorts must be in English or be dubbed/subtitled in English. We require a digital file of all accepted films.
