Biography
Director, actor. Born in Simferopol. In 2008, he entered the Shchepkin Theatre School (workshop of Boris Klyuev), and in 2011, he enrolled in the directing department of GITIS (workshop of Evgeny Kamenkovich and Dmitry Krymov). In 2015, he joined the troupe of the Pyotr Fomenko Workshop Theater. In 2021, he entered the Moscow School of New Cinema (workshop of Dmitry Mamulia).
Directors Statement
The idea of the film came to me after I met a man suffering from paraphilic personality disorder. At first I shot a documentary with this man, and then I decided to shoot a feature film. This is a disorder in which a person cannot enjoy life, in particular sexual, if he or she does not cause pain to someone. It seems to me that this disorder has spread to so many people around the globe. People are used to violence in its various forms. It seems to me that we have all become hidden vigilantes. Everything here is based on violence , and the word tenderness has disappeared from human relations.
