Biography

I was born in 1986 in the city of Kiev, in the family of a writer and a school teacher of literature. By the time I graduated from school, my parents did everything to divert me away from the humanities and creative sciences, towards something “real” and what “you can make a living for”. So I was at the institute at the Faculty of Chemical Technology. Unfortunately, I later realized that it is better to earn a living by doing only what I really like, but since I was not used to leaving the case halfway through (by the way, this quality will help to finish the first short film after all, although it was so difficult and scary do it for the first time, that the desire to withdraw his candidacy after passing the pitching, cancel filming, because the team was not recruited, and then even cancel everything after the first shooting day - they came repeatedly) - graduated from the institute and received a diploma. And then immediately went to work in film distribution company. Now I am 32 years old, I am married and I have two children, I had to leave my work at the box office, but I didn’t want to part with the cinema. And at the first opportunity that arose, I went through a preparatory course at the Moscow School of Cinema on the basis of which I shot my first short film. Afterwards, I listened to the “History of Cinema” course at Vsevolod Korshunov and went through a small screenwriting intensive course at Anna Starobinets. With each step I move on, get new knowledge and with each step I understand that now I would make my first film in a completely different way. But you can’t shoot the first film twice, just as you can make the first impression three times. But sometimes, in a conversation with friends, someone will say: “Why are you young, you shot a short film”, to which I reply: “Why do you admire, you haven’t seen it ....” and get an answer that makes you think: “It doesn't matter whether it turned out or not! But you are the only one of us who took and did it! ”
