Korenuchka is a retired veterinarian. She keeps to herself while taking care of her bedridden husband. Village neighbors often turn to her for help ranging from pig castration to childbirth assistance. However, everything changes when her dog spooks a boy next door.
This is a film about the forgotten people, humiliated by poverty, living to the continuous TV babble for fear of being alone. The old foundations of the village such as labor, mutual help, hospitality, all in ruin. Only fences all around and in the hearts.
