DirectorBiography
Born in Evpatoria in 1992. First education is in philology. In 2020, she completed retraining courses at St. Petersburg State University of Cinematography and Television, specializing in cinematographу. In 2024, she graduated from the Moscow Film School, specializing in directing, curators A.P. Popogrebsky and P.G. Bardin.
Directors Statement
"Arina" was born from a true story, unfortunately, in real life the character of the story did not get out and got married and still has not broken up with that man. But in my movie I gave it the ending which I believe everyone deserves: to get out of problems, to find freedom. The topic of violence resonates with me simply because I am a woman - it is impossible to live your life and not encounter at least some form of "catcalling". This is my first screenplay and my first director's test. I was very nervous, there were many challenges at the set, but I was very fortunate with my team and my actors, and I am grateful to everyone who took part in this project, because it was thanks to great people and their efforts that this film happened.
