The screenplay is based on the feature film adaptation of one of the most mysterious and unordinary literature works written during the last century, around 1934, “A Romance with Cocaine” by M. Ageev, which received world-wide attention and ultimately recognition once it was published in Paris. There is almost a century between the heroes of the novel and the film, but has human nature changed greatly within that time? It is a story about how it shouldn’t be. But it repeats itself from century to century. The plot focuses on the life of a student, Vadim Maslennikov , our contemporary — his relationship with friends, his mother, girl-friends, his feelings, illusions, weaknesses, and finally the search for oneself... He is ultimately drawn into the world of illicit drugs, where cocaine becomes the fatal attraction that evokes the false sensation of happiness in him. Does he have enough strength to come back if there is usually no coming back?
