Born in Moscow, Russia; graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations majoring in International Economic Relations; produced a number of short films, such as "Prikosnovenie" (The Touch, 2013), "Odnoklassniki" (Classmates, 2014), "Polovinka" (The Other Half, 2015), "Nu Prostite!" (Sorry, 2016), "Fonograf" (The Phonograph, 2016), "Karma" (2016). Marina Jigalova-Ozkan debuted as a movie director with the film "Materia" (Matter, 2018), which was her senior thesis project at the Higher Courses for Screenwriters and Film Directors.
