Who doesn't know Charlie Chaplin? Who hasn't heard Chaplin's famous "Smile"? The orchestral theme from the finale of "Modern Times" has long turned into a call to smile, and despite the difficulties, continue your way. However, just a few people know that the famous theme might not have existed if not for the Soviet film director Friedrich Ermler. Thanks to the meeting between him and Chaplin, Charlie reconsidered to reshoot the hopeless and gloomy finale of the first version of his motion picture.
