Ljuda is the night nurse. For her fifty-seven thousand is a lot of money. She barely saved them and hid them at her country-house from her husband's reveler. But even then he finds a stash and disappears with it. Without money and without a husband, Ljuda returns to the city in upset feelings, but at the bus stop she meets a dashing beauty who takes Ljuda with her.
