In one of the Russian hinterlands, there lives a boy, Danya, 10 years old. His family is an alcoholic father Vadim and a teenage sister Nadia. Dani's mother is in prison. Larisa sometimes visits her father, with whom they work together on apartment repairs, she is also a drinking companion and lover. One day, a phone call rings and her mother informs her that she is being released on parole ahead of time. Only Danya is happy with this message, the rest are not up to her. My father is under the spell of Larisa and alcoholic intoxication, my sister Nadia is in transition and is offended by my mother. Danya wants to arrange a holiday for his mother, but eventually realizes that only he is waiting for her back and the holiday for the boy turns into a tragedy.
