A father is looking for a bride for his shy forty-year-old son. The father and son go to a neighboring village when there is no suitable girl left in the district. But again it is not possible to introduce their son to a potential daughter-in-law. Father and son are fighting. The son threatens to go abroad. Now the father and mother must make one last attempt to find a bride for their son.
This is a familiar story all over the world, when a family is looking for a bride for their son. In my life, this is the story of my grandfather and his grandson living in a distant village. Grandfather took his grandson to himself from childhood and raised him as a son, and even when he grew up, he took care of him in every possible way as a child. But guardianship did not prepare the grandson for adulthood. If, as a child, his grandfather gave him sweets that he wanted, he got rid of the army at one time so that he would not suffer, now, when the question of marriage came, the decision remained with his grandson. But even here they were looking for his wife all over the village. My film is based on the story of my grandfather and his grandson. In the film, we observe how excessive parental care led to the fact that the son grew up with little interaction with the outside world, and with the help of his parents he is looking for a wife, not love. The trouble is that parents want to marry their son for common reasons: “what will people say”, the age comes, it is necessary to have children, they run away from loneliness... And whether marriage with this person will bring joy, peace, love, and that most cherished “happiness". No one knows the answer, not marriage, but a lottery.
