Biography

Born in the city of Vladikavkaz, April 28, 2000. Since childhood, cinema has been my main passion. Transferring my fantasies and ideas to the screens, making them real became my dream, which I live for. I am graduating from the Higher School of Economics, specializing in film and video art.

Directors Statement

The main idea was to tell the story of the "path to yourself" with non-verbal means of expression. The musical composition served as the basis for this project. In the beginning there was a story told through music. Then I realized that this was not enough, music does not create meanings, it conveys states and atmosphere, it is the language of emotions. To convey a specific meaning to music you need a visual content. This is how the idea of a dance performance based on a plot was born. The style of modern dance is aesthetically pleasing to the music, so choice was simple enough. I use a non-verbal way of telling a story, because music is something that naturally comes out of me, I do not make efforts when I compose, and because I am convinced that it is a non-verbal and emotional language that develops a person, makes him more empathic. When a person reads, watches a film / TV series / interview, listens to a song, then the channel of perception of the literal language develops, but if you remove the “letters” and tell the story differently (through music, dance), then other channels of perception develop, which are more emotionally sensitive. Watching dance performance is like reading a book. The plot includes the following images: 1) The main character (in black): the prototype of a person trying to find his place in the world. 2) Girls in beige suits with ribbons over their eyes: restraining factors, imposed and invented restrictions (internal: fears, envy; external: the system of rules in society, the opinions of the inner circle). 3) The girl in white: the soul mate of the protagonist, the “place” of real home and tranquility. The main character makes a choice for herself and honesty, breaks out of her constraints and becomes much closer to herself and inner harmony. It is important to talk about this topic, because, in my opinion, it is very important to find your place in the world and at least try to do something bright. It seems to me that the refusal to search for one's true self, blindly following the rules of the system and the opinion of society is a crime against oneself.
