About
The Valley Film Festival, a project of Community Partners, is the first and longest continually running film festival in the San Fernando Valley. With a mission to join established filmmakers and emerging talent with adventurous audiences in Los Angeles, the VFF has screened a total of over 450 shorts, features, documentaries, animated films, and music videos from all over the world.
All filmmakers with narratives that do not meet the "Made in the (818)," "Foreign," or "Girls on Film" requirements are invited to submit their work under the following genres: Adult/Erotica, Animation, Comedy, Drama, Experimental, Family, Horror, Mockumentary, Music Video, Musical, Rockumentary, Sci-Fi, Student, Thriller, Trailer, Viral, Other.
Awards
The «Ten Degrees Hotter» award is bestowed on one short and one feature from our competitive section, as chosen by panel of judges.
Additionally, an award is given to short films, in the non-competitive section, as chosen by the audience.
