Nashville Film Festival

About

Nashville Film Festival (NaFF) is one of the longest-running film festivals in the country and one of the most acclaimed festivals in the South. Hosted at the state-of-the-art Regal Green Hills Stadium 16 in Nashville, Tennessee, NaFF attracts enthusiastic film lovers from all across the country and has been praised by filmgoers and filmmakers alike for its unique combination of big city film festival atmosphere and laid back Southern hospitality. With over 200 films from 40+ countries, industry panels, music showcases, and parties every night.

Awards

  • Nashville Film Festival offers nearly $85 000 in cash and prizes for filmmakers and screenwriters with winners selected by industry power players - including studio representatives, producers and filmmakers.
  • The winning short films in the Narrative, Animated and Documentary Short Film Competitions are eligible for Academy Award® consideration without the standard theatrical run, provided the film otherwise complies with the Academy rules.

Rules

  • Films that have shown theatrically or been broadcast on television in Nashville prior to the Festival or are available for sale on DVD or VOD are not eligible for consideration;
  • On Feature Film Entries, we require a Tennessee Premiere. However, films that will make their North American or World Premieres with us are given first consideration – and receive a $1,000 bonus in their award, should they win a prize at the festival. For short films, we are generally not concerned about premiere status.
  • Entries must not have been publicly shown before January 1, 2023.
  • Works in progress are accepted if submitting close to final deadline.
  • Feature films are 40 minutes in length or longer. Short films are under 40 minutes in length.

Submit with Filmfestivallife or Filmfreeway.

Shipping - The cost of shipping an incoming print to the festival must be paid by the ENTRANT or a previous festival. NaFF will pay outgoing shipping to return the print to the entrant or to another festival destination.
