Years running: 11 (since 2014)
International Ethnographic Film Festival.
About
The Ethnografilm Festival (EF) promotes systematic understandings of the social world through film. We celebrate the art and science of non-fiction filmmaking and the field of video ethnography. Ethnografilm serves as a showcase and forum for dialog between independent and academic filmmakers.
Marked by its contemporary relevance and broad intellectual range, the objective of Ethnografilm is to understand cultures as well as social issues, describing “patterns of living” throughout the world to educate and entertain. We honor passion in the acquisition of moving images. We encourage creativity in the editing of those images. And we revere the spirit filmmakers whose exhibitions expand our knowledge and increase our understanding of the social world.
