CinemadaMare

About

For this competition, about five short movies will be screened each evening in the main square of the city where CinemadaMare stays. Voting papers are distributed to the audience attending the screening in the main square, in order to vote the best short film every evening.

The selected short films will enter the Semi-Final, which will take place last week, and the Finals which will take place last day of the Festival.

Program

• Main Competition: official International competition of short movies.
• “Shot on the spot” section, during which all of our young directors coming from all over the world shoot short films for the Weekly Competition.

• € 1500 Best Film: Epeius 2019 (chosen by the Public Jury, composed by the audience)
• € 250 Best Director (Jury of Experts)
• € 250 Best Actor (Jury of Experts)
• € 250 Best Screenplay (Jury of Experts)
• € 250 Best Photography (Jury of Experts)
• € 250 Best Editing (Jury of Experts)
• € 250 Best Original Sound-Track (Jury of Experts)

Rules

Short film (max 25 minutes). All categories are accepted (Video Art, documentary, fiction, animation, etc.)

• It is possible to upload the film on Vimeo or WeTransfer and send the link, username and password to enable the staff of CinemadaMare to login and download the film. This information must be sent to email or through Movibeta channel.

Writing on the parcel: “Senza valore commerciale. Solo per scopi culturali” (not for commercial use. Only for cultural purposes).

Provide the organizing staff with the following material: 

• Picture of the film director in digital format 
• A movie scene picture in digital format 
• Synopsis in English and/or Italian (400 characters maximum)

• A short biography of the director, in English and/or in Italian (max 400 words)
