About

Held annually, the festival is a member of CIFFT - International Committee of Festivals Tourism Film, an organization based in Vienna, recognized by the World Tourism Organization for the turistic audiovisual sector. Is therefore part of a worldwide network of 15 international film festivals. Thus acquires a strong international nature and becomes a important instrument promoting the excellency of audiovisual productions related to tourism. In 2011 festival counted with the entry of 287 films from 39 countries establishing itself as one of the largest film festivals in the world of tourism. Also in this edition, the festival ART&TUR marked difference being the 1st Tourism Festival in the World to include a 3D category.

Awards

In the International Competition the Jury assigns the prizes in the thematic categories (1st and 2nd place) of the TOURFILM Section. In sections DOC and CORPORATE the jury will award the best of the series of films presented in the available themes.

In the world competition of the Festival the Jury will also award the following prizes:

Grand Prix ART&TUR (Best Film of the Festival)
Grand Prix Sections (best movie in each section)
technical awards: Best Animated Film and Best Documentary in the Timalapse Technique
special awards: Best Asian Film, Best Ibero-American Film, Best European Film, Best Portuguese DOC and Best Advertising Campaign.

Rules

All festival entries must have been produced after January 1, 2018.

TOURFILM SECTION is a section dedicated to audiovisual tourism promotion. In this section you can compete films of the following types:

Commercials (less than 1’)
Advertising Campaigns
Promotional Films (less than 15’)
Video Travel Bloggers (Vlogs)
360º Virtual Reality
Animation Films

TV/DOC SECTION is a section dedicated to Documentaries and Television Programs. In this section can compete films of the following formats:

Short films (up to 30’)
Documentaries (up to 90’)
TV Programs
Webdocs

SECTION CORPORATE is a section dedicated to Information Films, Audiovisual Communication of NGOs, Corporations or Institutions. In this section can compete films of the following formats:

Corporate films
Documentation
TV Programs
WebDocs

Applications must be submitted online through the website
Payment the entry fees.
The film(s) should be sent via WeTransfer, DropBox or similar to the following email: submit@aptur.net

Audio language: original

Subtitles language: english, spanish or portuguese.
