Films participants of the Danish documentary festival
CPH: DOX for 11 days — from March 18 to 29 — were watched by 113 000 people, and the organizers decided to extend it until April 30. Discussions and conferences, the recordings of which are now posted on the festival’s YouTube channel, attracted almost 60,000 views - they were seen by significantly more viewers than they would if the meetings were held in movie theaters. In April, the
International Short Film Festival in Clermont-Ferrand held live broadcasts of 4 programs, which included the winners of the international competition.
The online versions are also being announced by the
Encounters Short Film and Animation Festival in Bristol (September) and
Krakow Film Festival (May 31 - June 7), the Documentary, Animation and Short Film Festival.
Festival life is on, and perhaps the formats of communication with the audience, authors, distributors, invented during these months of the pandemic, will change the face of the industry and after some time become traditional. In the meantime, you can not miss the new, rare, lively cinema that appears on short hours of online broadcasts, the programs of the contestants of the past years, collected by the most experienced selectors, and catching up with meetings with the authors who have become such cameras, despite the huge number of guests.
