About
The ETHNOCINECA - Ethnographic and Documentary Filmfest Vienna - is a unique film festival in the city of Vienna which is dedicated to anthropological themes and topics.
The ETHNOCINECA intends to provide a platform for all media-artists and filmmakers, who concentrate on anthropological issues like home, otherness, migration, oppression, liberation, poverty etc. to introduce their works to a broader audience. A public discussion about the visually presented issues shall be stimulated and facilitated.
The program of ETHNOCINECA comprises two categories: the regular program and the ETHNOCINECA Student Shorts Competition. Submissions are allowed only in either one of the two categories.

Rules
Selection Media Type: Digital copies are preferred and can be submitted via a download link or a link to an online screener. In exceptional cases we offer an upload of the film on our FTP server. If a digital film version is not available, two DVDs/Blu-rays of the film can be submitted by postal mail.

Initiated by the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology (University of Vienna), the
ETHNOCINECA 2013 is organized by the organization "ETHNOCINECA - Verein zur Förderung
audio-visueller Kultur".
