О фестивале
The Iran Open-Air International Open-Air Film Festival is an international film festival held annually in northern Iran. The festival celebrates cinema inspired by travel, travel culture, adventure, ecotourism, the environment, indigenous peoples, and humanity's connection to nature. Its program features feature films, documentaries, animation, experimental, VR, and AI projects in the unique atmosphere of open-air film screenings.
Through outdoor screenings, filmmaker bootcamps, VR filmmaking programs, masterclasses, workshops, and special events, the festival brings together filmmakers and audiences in the natural landscapes of northern Iran, creating a cinematic experience rooted in connection with nature, community, and creative exchange.

- Main prize: trophy and honorary diploma.
- Additional honorary diplomas and special mentions may be awarded at the discretion of the jury.
- All films officially selected for the festival program will receive an electronic certificate of participation.
Правила и условия
- Films completed after January 2020 are eligible to participate.
- Films in any language are eligible. Films in languages other than English must have English subtitles.
- The film must be between 3 and 30 minutes long, including credits.
- One applicant may submit more than one film.
- Priority will be given to films that have not previously been shown or distributed in Iran, but there is no requirement for premiere status.
- The official list of selected films will be announced by August 15, 2026, and applicants will be notified by email.
- Once officially selected, a film cannot be withdrawn from the festival.
- Following selection, participants must provide: a final copy of the film without embedded subtitles, subtitle files (.srt), as well as dialogue text in the original language and in English.
- Films that do not meet the technical requirements of the festival will be disqualified.
- By submitting a film to the Iran Open-Air International Film Festival, the producer or legal copyright holder grants the Moj Fakhteh Cultural and Art Institute a non-commercial right to screen the film for educational purposes, including screenings, discussions, and short film critique sessions.
- The applicant is solely responsible for ensuring compliance with the copyright, intellectual property, and other rights of third parties. The festival assumes no liability for such claims.
- There is no fee for screening films selected for the festival.
- The festival does not cover travel costs. Accommodation may be provided to selected directors during the festival.
- The President and Director of the Festival reserve the right to make decisions on matters not covered by these rules.
- Submitting a film to the Iran Open-Air International Film Festival constitutes full agreement with all festival rules and conditions.
- There is no registration fee required to participate in the 2026 festival.

The festival is organized by the Moj Fakhteh Cultural and Art Institute.
The composition of the official jury will be announced closer to the festival dates.
