About
The Wildlife Vaasa International Nature Film Festival located on the West Coast of Finland is held every second year. Since its conception in 2002, it has grown in stature receiving commendation from participants, delegates, media and the public world-wide. Last time in 2010, Terranova International Nature Film Festival received some 210 films from 47 countries with 106 delegates from 17 countries in attendance. In addition, representatives from international and national television were present eager to purchase the latest productions for broadcast. Successful implementation of previous festivals has broadened its network and co-operation areas worldwide. This has also resulted positive developments on a local and regional level with the establishment of the Regional Film Centre, which specialises in Natural History filmmaking and with the on-line publishing and updating on the internet of the festival’s Nature Films database. Finally, in 2012 the festival will celebrate it’s 10th year anniversary. For that many special events will be included in the festival’s program.
