About
Our mission is to provide an alternative venue for independent filmmakers to screen during one of the largest film festivals in the United States, (festival name removed to avoid legal action) --RxSM happens simultaneously with the opening weekend of (name removed under duress), to give the thousands of cinephiles that come to the beautiful city of Austin, TX an alternative viewing experience.
"We are a filmmaker's festival--founded by filmmakers, organized by filmmakers and programmed by filmmakers. We fight to maintain a voice for independents."
The programmers at RxSM are members of Film ExChange, and international network of indie film festivals that share programming and provide screenings for exceptional indie cinema year round.
