About
Being the biggest youth film festival in Korea, the SIYFF has provided a venue for youths to share their culture via films and media education since 1999. It aims to promote broader international exchanges among talented cine kids and establish network to improve their competitiveness in the film industry.
Since 1999,the Seoul International Youth Film Festival has provided a venue for youths to share their culture via films and media education. It grows truly into an international youth film festival for youngsters from domestic and abroad. Along with this, it presents youth with youth-made films and distributes them overseas so that global film audiences could watch them.
Seoul International Youth Film Festival focuses on opening windows for creative youths with unique viewpoints to explore their own world and on nurturing them for their bright future. SIYFF makes a new spot of culture-complex where everyone from children to the elderly can communicate through experiencing the festival and enjoying the films, breaking generation gaps and cultural boundaries.
The programme consists of invitational (non-competitive) and competitive sections. All selected feature films will be classified into non-competitive sections. Competition entry is limited for short films and the films are to be sorted into two sub-sections, Competition 13+ and Competition 19+.

SIYFF International Youth Jury Award: This award is granted to ‘the picture of the year’ chosen by International Youth Jury in Competition 13+.
SIYFF Eyes Award is granted to ‘picture of the year’ chosen by SIYFF Audience jury for each non-competition section - Kid’s Eye, Teen’s Eye, Strong Eye
