Rio Mountain Festival

About

The Rio Mountain Festival goal is to show the best films on mountain, expeditions, and adventure. It also aims at spreading the word about the productions of this type of films.

Program

The Rio Mountain Festival accepts entries in the following categories:

• International Festival (competitive);
• Natura Doc (non competitive): Environmental, Natural History or Conservation films.

Awards

• “Cidade do Rio” Award – Best Film, 
• “Terra Brasilis” Award – Best Brazilian Film,
• Best Film on Mountain Hiking and Rock Climbing, 
• Best Photography,
• Best Short Film – 15 minutes or less,
• People’s Choice Award.

The winning films will be awarded the “Corcovado” trophy.

Rules

• Films that are available online are not accepted;
• Mountain sports, adventure or expedition themed films; films that add knowledge or promote the preservation of the environment; mountain culture or outdoor life style.
