In 2017, more than 1200 films were sent to the film festival from 16 countries. Of these, over 80 films were shown during 4 days.

The festival is supported by France, England and Estonia.

Every year it takes place in St. Petersburg in the first decade of August. In 2018 will be held from 1 to 5 August from 15:00 to 21:00.

The festival is held with the support France, England and Estonia.

The festival is held with the following nominations:

1. Animation film.
2. Feature film.
3. Experimental film.
4. Music film.
5. Documentary.

Films are evaluated by the criteria:

• Importance of the film idea
• Philosophy of the work
• Professionalism
• Experimental and novelty
• Secret voting of judges
• Audience sympathy

Awards

• The winners of the «secret ballot» are awarded with red diplomas (highest awards).
• The general winner of the «secret ballot» is awarded a black diploma (the highest award) and gets a red plate in his hands.
• The winner of the "audience sympathy" receives a special diploma of the audience sympathy of the PURE film festival,

Rules

Films with duration from 15 seconds to 100 minutes are accepted.

You must send the completed application in .doc format, along with a screenshot from the movie and a photo of the director on the email:

The jury is usually announced at the beginning of the festival itself. However, there are exceptions.
