Malatya International Film Festival

About

The festival will bring the audience and high quality movies from all around the world together; and besides the excitement of the competition, the festival will also bring a week full of cinema to Malatya and Turkey through its many activities and events.

This cheerful and tiring festival marathon will end with the Award Ceremony on November 12th, 2015. Throughout the festival, approximately 140 feature, short and documentary films will be screened for the cinema lovers.

INTERNATIONAL FEATURE FILM COMPETITION

• Best Film 15.000 $ + Crystal Apricot Award

International short film competition: 

• Best Film, selected by the Jury, will receive a monetary award of 1.000 USD and the Crystal Apricot Award. 

Rules

• Feature films that are over 60 minutes of duration; printed on DCP and suitable for the screening in movie theatres are accepted.
• Short films of all genres with a running time of no more than 15 minutes. 

For foreign films, the condition for acceptance is that they are completed after November, 2017; they have not been shown on a television station in Turkey and have not been released on DVD in Turkey.

Thepre-screening copy must be sent by the mentioned deadline to the Festival Centre along with the registration formand the materials stated below:

3 DVD copies of the film with English subtitles

A synopsis of the film

A technical and artistic fact sheet of the film

English subtitles or the dialogue list of the film in English

Press file, poster and stills of the film (TIFF or JPEG, 300 dpi min.)

A résumé, a filmography and a photograph of the director (TIFF or JPEG 300 dpi min.)

3 copies of the trailer of the film with no such mark on it as a logo, time-code or subtitles, in Avi/Quick Time/Mkv/Mp4 format on DVD or CD, to be used in the Festival Advertisement Film and TV advertisements

Film Usage License (for the Turkish films that apply for the International Competition)
