About

The Lebanese Film Festival showcases the best of Lebanese cinema and is the only platform in Lebanon that uniquely promotes Lebanese talent from Lebanon and abroad. In it’s 13th edition, LFF has grown into one of the leading film event in the Middle East.

Rules

  • Films must have been completed in 2016.

  • One photograph of the director (MANDATORY) 
  • One still of the film (MANDATORY) 
  • A copy of the shooting permit from the General Security Office (MANDATORY) 
  • A poster of the film (if available) 
  • Biography of the director in three languages English, French and Arabic (60 WORDS MAXIMUM) 
  • Synopsis in three languages English, French and Arabic (60 WORDS MAXIMUM) 
  • Trailer (MANDATORY)

 Subtitle language: Arabic, French or English.

Any narrative work of fiction. Any of the following genres is welcome: comedy, drama, action, adventure, mystery, historical, science-fiction, and musical. It can also be an animation.

This section is mostly dedicated to young filmmakers, students or any director who is having his directional debut.

  • Deadline — free

Any non-fiction film, NOT including entirely scripted or improvised fictionalizations of actual events. From human rights to popular culture, these films should confront subjects that define our time.

This section is dedicated to foreign directors who target a Lebanese topic of any kind. The films can either be fictions, documentaries or experimental. No specific running time is required.
