Years running: 13 (since 2009)
International festival for feature-length films in Copenhagen.
About
With 18 days of of fiction, the film festival, PIX, is the largest Danish event for movie lovers. As a central pillar in Danish film culture, PIX is the place for the most significant, the craziest, the best and the most overwhelming films, which do not otherwise find a broad Danish release. The festival places a heavy emphasis on new talent, with a series of the strongest debut films from all over the globe.
The festival presents not only the most important works from the lighthouses of cinema, but also puts together an annual retrospective with a forgotten director, whom we feel, is worthy of re-discovery.
Feature fiction films in all genres are eligible. For documentaries we kindly refer to Copenhagen Film Festivals' documentary festival, CPH:DOX. For children/family films please contact Copenhagen Film Festivals' festival for children and youth, BUSTER.
