The Asian World Film Festival.


The Asian World Film Festival (AWFF) brings the best of a broad selection of Asian world cinema to the West in order to draw greater recognition of the region's wealth of filmmakers. The AWFF aims to strengthen ties between Asian and American film industries and offer opportunities for cross-cultural collaboration. All films that participate in the Festival will have a unique chance to showcase their submission to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and Hollywood Foreign Press Association under the Best Foreign Language Film Category.


  • Asian World Film Festival only accepts Oscar® and Golden Globe submissions from Asian countries (see the list at the festival site), in addition to outstanding films recognized in the international festival circuit.
  • A maximum of 2 films from each country may be selected for the Festival Program.
  • Productions from 2014 to 2015 may be submitted (after 01-Dec-2013).
  • Do not submit work in progress. 
  • A completed entry form must accompany each entry 
  • Features: minimum 80 minutes
