Animatricks

About

Animatricks is a three-day festival and a meeting point for animation professionals and fans, held in the heart of Helsinki, Finland. As the only animation film festival in the country, Animatricks has been presenting new Finnish and international animation since 2000. Now for the first time,
alongside with the competition for Finnish animated shorts, Animatricks launches an international competition.

We are looking for animated films with unique storytelling, style and technique.

Productions chosen to participate in the competition will be screened in the International Shorts Competition Category and/or in the New Finnish Animated Shorts Category. Films produced in Finland automatically participate in the pre-selection in both competition categories.

Rules

• Films must have been completed after 1st of January 2020, 
• Industrial, educational or commercial films are not accepted. Also animated TV-series and their episodes, that are distributed or in production, are not accepted into the competition. The participation of pilots and such will be evaluated by the jury.
• Minimum 50% of the film duration must be animation, 
• Screening copy should be in a digital format.
• Subtitles language: English

The following material is needed for the submission:

• Fill the online entry form
• 1 still photo from the film minimum 300 dpi;
• online link to a preview-copy of the film.

Make sure that the link to your film doesn’t have an expiration date.

The cost of sending the screening copy to the Animatricks Animation Festival is to be paid by the sender. The screening copies will be returned within two weeks after the festival. Animatricks will cover return expenses.
