Brussels International Animation Film Festival.

About

Anima, Brussels Cartoon and Animated Film Festival, seeks to promote cartoons and animated films from all over the world. It also seeks to foster a dialogue between зrofessionals, filmmakers and the public, and to raise awareness of quality animation among film and television вistributors.

The festival also nominates its selection of films for the Cartoon d'Or, from the European films that win prizes.

  • Professional short film,
  • Student film,
  • Children's short film,
  • Music videos and Commercials,
  • Feature-film,
  • Feature-film for children,
  • Belgian shorts,
  • “Animated Night” short films.

Information category:

  • special programmes, documentaries, tributes and retrospectives: animated films selected on account of their interest, regardless of length, production date or country of origin. Also, films which do not use frame by frame techniques but which are considered to be of interest within the festival programming context may be screened.

  • Grand Prix Anima for Best International Professional Short Film,
  • The Award for Best International Student Short Film.
  • Award for Best Children’s Short Film

The Audience Prize:

  • Audience Award for Best Short Film
  • Audience Award for Best Children’s Short Film
  • Audience Award for Best Animated Feature (Sponsored by Fedex — Fedex voucher, 2500 € value)
  • Audience Award for Best Animated Feature for Children
  • Animation Night Audience Award for Best Short Film 

Partners Awards:

  • BeTV Award for Best Animated Feature (5000€ for acquisition of broadcasting rights)
  • Press Award for Best Short Film 

Rules

  • A producer/director wishing to enter a film(s) for selection must provide the Festival with:
  • a Vimeo/YouTube link to the film, accessible till the last day of the festival or a pre-selection DVD (data DVDs not accepted),
  • the entry form, duly completed online or downloadable,
  • some HD photos of the film (JPEG 10x15 cm, 300 dpi only), via the online entry form, email (selection@folioscope.be) or We Transfer.

Subtitles language: French, Dutch, English

Premiere Requirements

National premiere required.
